Summary:

Kinetics is a premier mechanical contractor specializing in the design and install of high purity process piping, plumbing and HVAC systems. We are currently hiring a QA/QC inspector to monitor QC for our projects in our Northeast region/office of Billerica, MA.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly implement and monitor all QA/QC Inspector responsibilities for Kinetics’ in the Boston, MA area.
• Oversee the care and control of Kinetics’ QC Equipment at the Boston, Ma area of operations (Borescopes and other inspection equipment e.g., dial calipers, profilometers, etc.)
• Perform weld inspections in accordance with the established acceptance criteria – e.g., ASME BPE, ASME B31.1, B31.3, & B31.9 and SEMI Standards.
• Participate in new project planning and assist the QA/QC Manager in developing and implementing project-specific quality plans.
• Conduct regular site audits & surveillances as well as unannounced walk-through inspections. Evaluate your project(s) to ensure conformance and compliance with contractual specifications, any applicable government regulations, and Kinetics’ QA/QC policies and procedures.
• Document and communicate results of audits & surveillances. Identify and recommend solutions for non-compliant situations. Follow-through to ensure 100% compliance and conformance.
• Participate is Operations Manager’s Meetings for the Billerica, MA branch and Project Staff Meetings as required. Be prepared to provide QA/QC comments and feedback.
• Disseminate written policies and procedures related to QA/QC activities.
• Interpret specifications and clarify procedural issues for workers.
• Conduct training as required in accordance with Kinetics’ Quality Program and monitor compliance.
• Assist in the development and implementation for improvements to communication, monitoring, and Quality standards.
• Review turnover packages prior to submitting to your QA/QC Manager, for final review. This is required prior to submitting the final TOP to our clients.
• Train, direct and/or oversee subcontractor compliance, as it applies to QA/QC.
• Required Travel: No immediate travel will be required outside of the Billerica, MA branch area. However, some future travel may be required outside of your assigned area as needs progress.
• Travel to locations outside of the Billerica, MA operational area is reimbursed by Kinetics.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS – MUST BE CERTIFIED TO AT LEAST ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Must have been previously certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A (or equivalent per ASME and ASNT) as an NDT Level II in the Visual Testing Method (VT).
• Currently certified as an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (AWS-CWI).

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
