Seeking Quality Control Technician for a Direct Hire opportunity in Palestine, TX.

The QC Tech will be responsible for performing tasks before, during, and after production that ensure products conform to internal and customer quality standards while adhering to lab and site safety standards. Relocation assistance is available for interested and qualified candidates.

• Comply with established quality, safety, and environmental procedures and policies
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Participate in site health, safety, and environmental initiatives
• Follow laboratory procedures for labeling, storage, and handling of chemicals and waste generated
• Perform testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products and determine batch dispositions
• Identify discrepancies with materials and participate in quality investigations and corrective and preventive action initiatives as needed
• Use computer systems (ERP) to enter data, manage inventory, generate certificates of analysis
• Effectively communicate with the Operations team the process stage and disposition of batches and any issues that arise
• Interact with research chemists to troubleshoot batches or determine adjustments
• Participation in Gage R&R studies to validate methods and analysts
• Maintain site sample retain system
• Maintain records of tasks performed
• Perform calibration of instrumentation, troubleshoot instrument problems, and identify product quality concerns
• Certify products for shipment
• Identify opportunities for improvement

• Associates Degree in Chemistry or related field
• Minimum of 3 years related experience
• Ability to perform the job in compliance with HSE policies and procedures
• Understanding and application of laboratory safety techniques and PPE requirements
• Knowledge of standard concepts and practices within the field of chemistry
• Experience in performing wet and instrumental analysis for controlling chemical processes
• Understanding of solution preparation
• Effective communication skills
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and navigating file servers and web-based programs
• Ability to work independently to accomplish goals
