Job description

Responsibilities:

• Review and understand technical design documents and functionality
• Participate in design and requirements discussions
• Create detailed, and well-structured test plans and test cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan quality testing activities
• Work closely with the Development and QA team members to co-ordinate testing activities
• Effectively plan testing stages and communicate progress
• Perform functional and regression testing
• Thoroughly test, identify and record defects
• Analyze issues, summarize findings, and track the root cause of problems.
• Track quality assurance metrics such as defect areas and defect counts
• Create detailed Test Summary document to track the testing cycle
• Ensure deadlines for testing prior to release dates are met

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in manual testing
• 2+ years of manual testing experience in public facing web applications
• Working knowledge of API testing
• Working knowledge of SQL scripting
• Ability to collaborate productively with team members and learn quickly
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Experience using JIRA as a defect tracking tool is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
