Essential Functions

• Interact successfully with internal Quality and Production Teams.
• Follows internal inspection instructions & processes.
• Assist in visual inspection of incoming, in process and finished product.
• Communicate all quality concerns to direct supervisor(s).
• Participate in 5why root cause analysis and corrective actions with a cross functional team to reduce / eliminate internal and customer PPM’s.
• Assist in implementation of strategies to support lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Adhere to Quality, Safety, and Environmental Policies
• Support, maintain, and sustain QMS/EMS.
• Understand and follow all Aerostar standards.

Preferred Experience

• 1-2 years related experience (Final Inspection, Shipping or Quality duties)
• Prior gage usage and blueprint reading is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of gages, ability to read and interpret gages is a plus

Skills, Education and/or Certifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer operation skills, ability to enter data and simple notes.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide positive and negative whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to add and subtract positive and negative numbers up to 5 decimal places.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Attention to detail.

Physical Demands Regularly able to lift, carry and/or force exerted 01-09 lbs

• Occasionally able to life, carry and/or force exerted 10-20 lbs
• Visual ability: close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk, climb, balance, stop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to push & pull.
• Ability to talk and hear.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

Note: This position can be performed at a pack bench, or at the machining center. Long periods of sitting or standing will occur.Work Environment

• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration
• Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
• Loud noise level
• Moderate heat/cold conditions

Work schedule Regularly Monday-Friday * Occasionally Monday-Saturday

• Occasionally overtime
