Position Summary:
The Quality Improvement nurse oversees the Performance Improvement (PI) process throughout the hospital. The person in this position works with Senior Leadership and department managers relating to compliance with TJC standards and quality assurance, as well as overseeing mandatory public quality reporting. This person will serve as the chair of the Quality Council.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be licensed as Registered Nurse in the State of Louisiana
  • Five years’ experience as Registered Nurse required, BSN or MSN
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Deductive reasoning and communication skills.
  • Management, leadership and teaching skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of regulatory standards (internal and external).
  • Strong knowledge of clinical information systems, data management and administration
