Brand New Opportunity for a Quality Manager for a growing firm! Oversee inspection staff to ensure timely inspections, organize and maintain inspection tasks in accordance with desired schedule developed by management. Ensure the highest quality of products manufactured by performing inspections against customer supplied and internally stated requirements while working competently and in a timely manner. Maintain and continuously improve documented systems within the overall Quality Management System as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise Quality Inspection staff and ensure timely inspections are being performed
  • Monitor job performance and delegate product inspections to inspectors to ensure product is inspected in a timely and efficient manner based on importance/delivery schedule.
  • Maintain the complaint system and handle customer returns. Receive and report all customer reported and internally reported non-conformances within the complaint log. Evaluate all nonconforming product for validity and disposition.
  • Perform root cause investigations and initiate corrective and preventive actions as required per documented procedures within the QMS. Perform effectiveness checks to ensure all actions taken are implemented and effective at eliminating the original root cause of the issue.
  • Communicate with customers/suppliers as needed regarding complaints, corrective and preventive actions, and audit results.
  • Perform first article inspections and final quality inspections to ensure conformance to customer requirements provided through blueprints and control documents prior to product release.
  • Perform secondary inspection points on in-process forms, when applicable, to aid in the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct reworks and re-inspections as directed for nonconforming product found in-house or returned from customers as directed.
  • Communicate all quality issues to management in a timely manner, along with recommendations for any corrective or preventive actions that may be necessary.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and FDA 21CFR Part 820 requirements
  • Familiarity of AQL inspection methods
  • Strong knowledge in inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, comparators, CMM, Keyence IM etc.
  • 3-4 years on the job experience in related field

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
