Job description
Quality Inspector Job Responsibilities:
- Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
- Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
- Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
- Collaborates with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, and investigating customer complaints.
- Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes, measuring production, documenting evidence, determining operational and performance qualification, and writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
- Production assist as availability
- Training operators on quality and QP
- Assist in Rework of rejected items
- Breaks 1 set per shift i.e. 1 first break, 1 lunch break, 1 last break
- Assist with auto machines
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma
- Experience with quality control techniques such as Six Sigma
- Experience with measuring devices such as gauges, computers, calipers, and other measuring instruments
- One to two years’ quality inspector experience
- Blueprint reading
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
