Job Purpose:

The R&D Technician position is designed to function as benchtop discovery and cost savings work while also completing documentation related to quality for compliance to company, regulatory, and industry established specifications and procedures.

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a science related field
• 3+ years of experience chemistry benchtop related work
• Working knowledge in laboratory practices and various instrumentation including but not limited to: HPLC, Spectroscopy, Mass Spectroscopy, and/or Solutions Chemistry.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ornamental fish knowledge
• 5+ years of experience in chemistry benchtop related work
• Experience documenting studies, quality attributes and Nexus
• Knowledge of project & change management processes
• Knowledge of GMPs and FDA regulated products processes
• Laboratory practices and various instrumentation including but not limited to: HPLC, Spectroscopy, Mass Spectroscopy, and Solutions Chemistry

Key Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible to implement R&D investigational studies following quality systems in compliance 21 CFR parts 210 & 211 for veterinary medical products and as well as the relevant Mars requirements. assure effective change management and drive continuous process improvement for the site and business unit.
• The job holder will be responsible for the independent delivery of projects with support from their line manager, team members r and key customers. Projects are unlikely to have obvious solutions, so the job holder is expected to use problem-solving tools to identify the best in class design solutions for the business.
• As the position does contain quality component, standardization of documentation in current systems (nexus) will be a responsibility of this role.
