Now Hiring: Technician III

  • Determine correct procedures to use for radiographic inspection, including tube voltage, current filters to be used and other related inputs.
  • Knowledgeable in the operation of the real time x-ray system, manual film system and film processor to adequately detect and display all manufacturing characteristics.
  • Knowledgeable in the repair and maintenance of the machines.
  • Knowledgeable in programming of real time x-ray system for specific components.
  • Design and create fixturing for use with each system to optimize throughput times.
  • Work directly with Engineering and Quality to analyze prototypes and perform failure analysis by use of radiographic inspection.
  • Knowledgeable in all associated Mil-specs, MPI’s and other related documents pertaining to the processing, inspection of, and maintenance of radiographic data.
  • Monitor work load and scheduling through the Radiographics laboratory, determine priorities and respond accordingly with minimal supervision.
  • Establish and maintain documentation for all records, including both electronic and film based media.
  • Provides guidance and training to lower level technicians.
  • Runs the XRF machine and can train backup operators.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive progressive experience as a radiographic operator/inspector.
  • Thorough knowledge in operation of x-ray equipment, and inspection criteria related to magnetic components.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
