Are you currently working over the road OTR, wishing you could be home more? Are you tired of sleeping in the bed of your truck and prefer sleeping in your in the comfort of your bed at home? We are hiring immediately for local truck drivers at the Harrisburg Norfolk Southern Railyard in a recession proof industry! This is a Full Time Permanent Position. Your primary responsibility is driving a truck and moving freight around the railroad. We'll teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job. This is an opportunity to join the largest intermodal contractor in the United States.

Make $50,000-$70,000 with hourly pay in your 1st year with overtime included!

We're hiring for the below shift start times: (These will be ElGHT hour shifts with a mandatory four hour holdover when necessary)

• 2:00 AM
• 10:00 AM
• 2:00 PM
• 4:00 PM
• 10:00 PM

Qualifications: (NO RAILROAD or CDL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED)

• Be at least 18yrs old & have a valid Driver's License.
• Pass a 7 year background check. (Felonies in the last 7 yrs, jail time, parole, or probation in the last 5 yrs or pending charges could disqualify applicants)
• Pass a drug test & a Physical Capabilities Test. **Job includes running heavy equipment and drugs including Cannabis are strictly prohibited**
• No GED or diploma required
• Strong communication skills required

APPLICANTS MUST currently live within a 45 minute commute of Harrisburg, PA. OUT OF AREA candidates and/or those requiring relocation will NOT be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Drive a jockey truck moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the railyard.
• Various Groundperson duties, climbing on and off railcars, locking and unlocking tracks, putting in and taking out inner box connectors (IBC's).
• Assist packer operators in loading and unloading the equipment using hand signals.
• Assist in the process of stacking and unstacking chassis as well as loading and unloading chassis racks
• Other assigned duties.
• This is an entry level position with on the job training. We'll teach you everything you need to know in order to be successful on the job. No Experience is required.
• The job is a combination of a Hostler Driver and Ground Person as they are 1 and the same job.

This job would be suitable for CDL truck drivers, non CDL truck drivers, flat bed truck drivers, warehouse workers, delivery drivers, forklift operators, people who enjoy working outdoors, doing landscaping, and working in a railyard.
