OVERVIEW

The Raw Sugar Operator is responsible for accurate records, samples, and proper operation/care of equipment.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directs raw sugar trucks to unloading areas of shed.
• Operates Gantry crane to discharge raw sugar barges
• Keeps records as required.
• Obtains, prepares, and distributes raw sugar samples in prescribed manner.
• Performs all cleaning, labelling and labor work as required.
• Promptly notifies supervision of any equipment defects or breakdowns.

WORK EXPERIENCES

• At least 1 year previous experience in an industrial setting required
• Previous experience in process operations/refinery operations is preferred

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required

ESSENTIAL CAPABILITIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES)

• Effective communication with others is required.
• Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must have ability to stand, bend, climb, reach, lift, and walk through work area
• The ability to work in a hot, humid, and dusty environment is necessary
• Must be able to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
