Job description
We are looking for an experienced Ready Mix Concrete Batch Plant Operator for our location in Wright City, Missouri. This is a full time position with possibility of extensive overtime.
Plant operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the plant on a daily basis. This includes batching, preventative maintenance of the plant, management of drivers and ensuring plant adheres to all regulations and permit conditions. Safety must be #1 priority.
Responsibilities-
- Batch concrete into ready mix trucks, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Manage batch plant as well as oversee ready mix drivers and haulers.
- Remain level headed during stressful situations.
- Job requires climbing, stooping, bending, squatting, stretching, driving, sitting and occasional lifting of 50+ pounds.
- Perform preventative and emergency maintenance on transit mix batch plant.
- Operate front end loader for material handling.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels for all materials.
Experience-
- Experience with Command/Alkon batching system is desired.
- Prefer at least 2 years of experience in the concrete industry.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of concrete mix designs and admixtures is desired.
- Good attitude and ability to multi-task.
- Must be available, as needed, for overtime hours.
- Welding and cutting experience is a plus.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
