Job description

This position is responsible for performing all office duties as well as the collection of data, creation of graphs, ordering supplies, calling vendors, and maintaining files.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Entering and filing inbound receipts.
  • Counting materials, entering counts in Excel spreadsheet to coincide with SAP counts for reconciliation of components at end of runs. Cycle count items as assigned and adjust inventory accordingly.
  • Work to create, laminate, and posts documents for training, quality and safety.
  • Train to order materials for Production along with warehouse/office supplies.
  • Contact forklift vendor for repair on any lifts with mechanical issues.
  • Collect safety participation from forklift drivers that support Production and Receiving Dock. Scan and save to shared drive. Report to supervisor missing participations.
  • Ensure all forklift certification and recertification records are maintained and provided to Safety Team.
  • Maintains vacation calendar after supervisor approves vacation time.
  • Uses Microsoft Outlook to set up meetings and send communications as needed.
  • Schedule inbound appointments when necessary.
  • Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.
  • Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
  • Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Material handling required as needed.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High School degree or GED

Experience/Knowledge

  • Comprehensive knowledge of administrative and management functions such as planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling.
  • The ability to utilize various personal computers, including, but not limited to, spreadsheets, word processing, and database software.
  • The ability to work with and maintain information of a confidential and sensitive nature.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SAP and Access knowledge preferred, not required.
  • Experience in a distribution center or warehouse a plus.

TECHNICAL ROLE COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively with individuals both internal and external to Newell Brands.
  • Must be very flexible to ever-changing workloads and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Sitting at workstation approximately 20 percent of work time. Standing and walking approximately 80 percent of work time.
  • Ability to work overtime or occasionally on weekends with short notice.
  • Typical office environment with shelves overhead and above work surfaces.
