Recreation Assistant - weekends required

The Activities/ Recreation Assistant will assist in the coordination and implementation of programs and one-on-one activities for our residents in ourNursing, Assisted Living, and/or Memory care units. Activities can include but are not limited to exercise, arts & crafts, outdoor activities, cognitive games, reminisce, spiritual programs, and sensory activities. The Activities/Recreation Assistant also assists in creating, planning, and leading the weekly calendar of events. This position will also provide/assist with transportation for residents to outings and events (postCovid-19 restrictions).
Falcons Landing is a Life Plan Retirement Community located west of Washington, DC in Loudoun County, Northern Virginia. What you need:

• High school diploma
• Excellent verbal and communication skills, interpersonal skills and possess the ability to explain activities to large groups and individuals with different capabilities
• Creativity, Drive and Compassion
• Outgoing and fun personality
• Previous experience working with Seniors and/or persons with Dementia or other memory disorders is desirable.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination - required.
