Job Title: RECREATION ATTENDANT

Reports To: RECREATION COORDINATOR

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Sports Complex is a recreational facility with surrounding areas that are used by members of Mirasol community to escape the stress of school, homework, meetings and most of all spending time having fun with their families. The area provides a variety of diversions including table tennis, foosball, gaming systems, computers and outdoor recreation activities such as tennis, basketball,
GaGa and more.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Recreation Attendant duties include but are not limited to: check-in and check-out of equipment, supervision of the area and its activities and cleaning of the area. The Attendant is primarily responsible for providing quality member service; maintaining indoor and outdoor equipment; and providing a safe, clean and comfortable environment. In addition, the position requires giving attention to children that are using our drop-off services, assuming each child abides by the rules of conduct.
Rules must be established and reinforced on a daily basis to ensure safety for everyone.
1. Check-out, monitor and check-in table tennis and foosball equipment. Record time of rental
2. Prepare, check-out, inspect and check-in outdoor recreation equipment and store properly. Assist members in equipment choice.
Inspect the equipment prior to check-out and upon return to ensure that all equipment is working properly
3. Keep the Games and Recreation Center clean. Attendants are responsible for scheduled cleaning of all tables, floors, and equipment
4. Make suggestions on purchase and disposal of equipment and the implementation of programs, including tournaments and/or leagues.
5. Attend all scheduled meetings and training sessions.
6. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: .
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
