This person will be responsible for the staffing of the Elkin Plant hourly positions. Effectiveness will be based on time to fill open positions, retention rates of new hires, volume of applicants, and commitment to timely responses of applicants daily. Weekly metrics are also tracked to provide routine information to help us drive successful onboarding of new employees. This role must have a strong partnership with each supervisor to attract and retain talent in various positions using a variety of successful recruiting tools.
- RESPONSIBILITIES: Briefly describe the day to day role of this position (list no more than 6 to 10 tasks).
- Source candidates using a variety of search methods to build a robust candidate pipeline
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, and performing phone and or on-site screenings
- Will take candidates on a plant tour to experience a realistic job preview
- Take ownership of candidate experience by designing and managing candidate flow
- Assist in develop job postings, job descriptions, and position requirements
- Perform reference checks as needed
- Facilitate the offer process by extending the offer and walking candidate through the onboarding process from start to finish
- Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices
- Ensure all screening, hiring, and selection is done in accordance with employment laws and regulations
- Make recruitment strategy recommendations for the Elkin plant
- Facilitation of internal job posting processes
- Execution of internal staffing rules, practices, and compliance
- Track all Affirmative action plan requirements for temp and direct labor
- Establish and maintain effective filing systems for all applicant data in compliance with OFCCP guidelines
- Establish annual outreach efforts to attract and retain a diverse workforce
- Partnering with supervisors to build retention strategies and feedback is key
- Engage in other HR team activities
- Support the HR and Elkin staff in additional capacities as requested

The Recruiter in the Elkin Plant will be charged with recruiting all hourly and salaried staffing needs and anticipating the hourly staffing needs based on HR KPIs and leading indicators. This position serves a critical role in meeting the needs of the Elkin manufacturing plant. Sourcing varying degrees of talent to meet the position specific requirements while aligning to our values and culture is a primary responsibility for this person. This person will be expected to utilize creative recruiting methods to source the best talent in the area. This person will be expected to report out on critical tracking of success rates of our Recruiting strategy.
We expect this person will develop relationships with key vendors that aid in our success of onboarding new talent. Attending job fairs, recruiting events, hosting on-site events, online job fairs, will require some travel and non-standard work to engage in the community.
Experience with high volume recruiting is preferred ramp ups. Specifically experience in a manufacturing environment will help this person acclimate to the demands of a high-volume, fast paced recruiting site. Knowledge and application of key labor laws as well as OFCCP requirements is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and recruiting softwares is highly preferred and utilized daily in this role. Experience with recruiting tools, job posting sites, etc. is highly preferred in this role. Previous experience with a Government contractor and required reporting is a plus.
