Arc Herkimer is looking for a Recruitment Assistant. The Recruitment Assistant will be responsible for achieving staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, interviewing and recommending qualified, quality applicants for all departments of Arc Herkimer.

Part time 24 hours/week

Rate of pay: $18/hr

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Agency approvable driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer applications and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in recruitment preferred.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Review resume submissions and cold call applicants from employment platforms.
  • Screen/interview applicants for employment.
  • Conduct reference and background checks for applicants with a provisional offer.
  • Responsible for communication and tracking of applicant throughout the interview process.
  • Develop candidate pipeline.
  • Develop/maintain productive relationships with Department of Labor, local high schools and colleges, temporary staffing agencies, and other resources.
  • Post positions in applicant tracking systems and on other platforms as needed.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
  • Maintain or secure necessary data to analyze vacancies, applicants, recruitment efforts and turnover and produce reports as requested.
  • Represent Arc Herkimer at job fairs and events as assigned.
  • Undertake such duties, responsibilities and projects as may be required by supervisor.
