Job description
    Position Summary
      Under the guidance of the Referrals Manager and Senior Tech, performs pre-analytic and post-analytic processing of specimens received in the referrals laboratory. Accurately performs all tasks associated with sending specimens for reference testing from receipt through appropriate distribution to the performing laboratory. Will perform duties related to dispatch, order entry in reference lab interface, entering reference lab results, and general functions.
    Hours will be 9:00am-5:30pm
    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Minimum High School education preferred. Associates degree/Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Strong knowledge of testing requirements acquired through 3 to 5 years of laboratory experience.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word and Excel and demonstrated ability to learn and work efficiently with a variety of computer applications/systems as well as the ability to learn and work efficiently with a variety of laboratory computer systems.
    • Oral and written communication needs to be professional, clear and concise.
    • Successfully demonstrates competencies in the position in accordance with the established assessment for the position.
    • Must be able to work any shift, holiday and/or weekend as needed.
    • Must be able to travel among company sites as needed.
