General Job Duties:

  • Manages team of project managers and engineers that executes project work with a core technical focus
  • Responsible for Utilization management, Resource assignments, Project Management and Health, Customer satisfaction efforts
  • Tracking and reporting metrics including team and project performance
  • Allocating available resources to properly complete project work efficiently and effectively
  • Leads business development activities and coaches team on identifying and closing new opportunities
  • Forecasting project financial and resource needs
  • Reviewing and acting based on data in project management system including budget reviews, cost review, timecards, expenses, etc.
  • Working collaboratively with project technical leads to identify work/task breakdown structure to achieve successful project execution
  • Driving consistent use of company standards within team
  • Performance reviews, goal setting, and team development
  • Contributing to strategy discussions and implementing per plan

Knowledge, skills and experience needed:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a related field is required
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in management role.
  • Experience as a team, department, or group head a plus
  • Experience managing a team of 10+ required
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management.
  • Experience managing automation/control system projects, (preferably Operational Technology – OT or Cybersecurity/Networking) required.
  • Managing scope expectations and successfully resolving issues
  • Management and preparation of project schedules, budgets and change orders
  • Work experience related to projects in the industrial manufacturing and water/wastewater industries is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience doing programming of PLCs, SCADA, or MES hardware or software a plus
  • Engineering firm experience a plus
  • Strong experience with estimating and scheduling tools
  • Excellent customer service attitude, attention to detail, high level of organizational skills, and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with profit/loss, forecasting, resource planning, sales opportunity reviews
  • Willing and able to travel – up to 35% (this position occasionally requires independent travel to customer locations)
  • Must be US resident or currently authorized to work in the USA (no sponsorship)
