Position Title: Regional Facilities Specialist
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote (Anywhere, USA) - Central and Western Regions
Reports To: Executive Director of Facilities
Role Expectations
The Regional Facilities Specialist is responsible for the daily operations and site compliance of all academies within their assigned region. This role assumes responsibility for planning and implementing day-to-day practices for multiple academies, training on-site staff on academy operation procedures (both virtually and in-person), and recommending and implementing remedial action to alleviate discrepancies with processes and procedures. Safety and security oversight is one of the key responsibilities of the role. Effective communication and follow up with all stakeholders is essential for success in this role.
Role Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant experience
- Background Check: Demonstration of a clear state and federal criminal history
Role Responsibilities
- Daily review and response to all operations tickets within assigned region
- Travel to various academies to support new site setup, compliance, and training
- Support the Director of Facilities and Operation with various projects for facility improvements, operations systems, contract negotiations, and site build-outs
- Implement Standard Operating Procedures; and where needed, recommend adjustments
- Operate within a designed budget and track ongoing operation expenses
- Provide staff with virtual and onsite training on all systems and supports tied to facilities and operations
- Manage communication between site staff and vendors
- Keep detailed digital records
- Attend and run monthly huddles with academy leads
- Attend weekly meeting with the operations team
- Effectively communicate project timelines and budgets with visual supports
- Provide support for grant-related activities.
- Assist in tracking and supporting energy efficiency efforts
- Act as a lead in technology and furniture inventory management, and coordinate with site leadership any replenishment needs.
- Identify and manage various vendors throughout the region
- Develop scopes of work for facility improvements and review contractors bids, provide recommendations to Director of Facilities and Operations
- Act as a regional lead for Site Safety as Security
- Monitor site build-out activities
- Conduct periodic site condition assessments
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Self-starter
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Keen communication skills
- Highly organized
- Knowledge of occupational safety regulations
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRMs, and ticketing systems
- Experience coordinating vendors / contractors
