Regional Nurse Consultant - Arlington Heights, IL and Surrounding Area

We are currently conducting a search for a Regional Nurse Consultant to oversee clinical operations for a company that has facilities throughout the Chicagoland Area. This position would primarily support facilities near Arlington Heights, IL.

This is a good opportunity for someone who is looking to train staff, mentor DONs, and share their accumulated clinical expertise on a larger platform than just one facility.

The successful candidate will have a successful history of supporting multiple facilities and Directors of Nursing (DONs) in maintaining clinical outcomes for multiple sites. We are most interested in candidates who have experience as a DON, and success in obtaining good regulatory outcomes in a skilled-nursing setting.

Job Duties:

• Provides clinical support to assigned skilled nursing centers

• Works collaboratively with facility DONs to identify and resolve clinical issues

• Ensures clinical compliance with existing state and federal regulations

• Conducts new initiative training and inservices when needed

• Acts as a clinical resource for assigned facilities

• Performs audits, monitors infection control and incident reports

• Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and medical personnel

• Conducts survey preparedness activities, including mock surveys

• Travels between assigned buildings as needed

• Other duties as assigned, such as providing intermittent leadership support

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of DON experience desired
• Must be a registered nurse (RN); Bachelor’s prepared candidates (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing preferred
• Must be currently licensed in good standing as an RN in IL
• Experienced in survey preparation/support for multiple facilities
• Experience with Quality Improvement Programs
