Job description
Regional Nurse Consultant (RN Registered Nurse) Qualifications:
Current RN license for California.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Practice in the basic principles of infection control.
Regional Nurse Consultant (RN Registered Nurse) Duties and Responsibilities:
CLINICAL
Visits facilities on a regular basis to ensure infection control program and clinical competency program are in place and to monitor sustainability to insure appropriate care is provided to all residents.
Conduct entrance and exit conference preferably with both the Administrator and Director of Nurses involving facility site visit.
Establishes rapport with residents, direct care personnel, and administrative personnel of the Facility and Rockport Healthcare Services associates.
Provides education programs to address resident and regulatory noncompliance identified during site visits.
Makes rounds and identifies physical environment, nursing practice, safety practices, Infection control practices and regulatory violations.
Ensures resident/patient care meets Federal, State and Company standards.
Promotes and maintains infection control guidelines and standards.
Other duties as assigned
Regional Nurse Consultant (RN Registered Nurse) ADMINISTRATIVE
Reviews the infection control program of the facility.
Reviews antibiotic stewardship program of the facility
Provides essential information necessary to maintain infection control standards.
Coordinates completion of clinical competency of staff.
Coordinates educational /training needs for the facility.
CONSUMER SERVICE
Presents professional image to consumers through dress, behavior and speech.
Adheres to Company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
Ensures that all patient/resident rights are protected.
