Our Behavior Technicians work as valued members of our therapy teams to provide individualized services to children with autism in a clinic-based setting, working under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Experience working as a behavior technician/RBT is preferred, but not required. Regardless of your experience level, at Surpass we will provide in-depth hands-on training and supervision to help you grow and develop towards a career path in Behavioral Health.

    Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement client goals created by a BCBA in each child's individualized treatment plan to focus on social skills, living skills, and academic skills, using a 1:1 teaching format
  • Complete data collection and session notes daily to track and show client progress
  • Communicate professionally with client families to provide updates regarding progress
  • Maintain client confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws and regulations
  • Assist with creation of therapy materials
  • Attend team meetings and on-going trainings, as necessary
  • Other related duties as assigned or requested

    Job Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered Behavior Technician Certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, or the ability to acquire certification within 45 days of hire date
  • Prior experience working with children with disabilities is preferred, but not required
  • Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA practices and adherence to the policies
  • Must have the ability to bend, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 lbs and be comfortable spending time on your feet
  • Strong written and oral communication along with strong interpersonal skills
