Job Purpose*: The Dental Hygienist will help patients develop and maintain good oral health, clean teeth. The Hygienist will examine patients for signs of oral disease and other preventive dental care and will work closely with other staff dentists and dental assistants. The Hygienist will also provide appropriate oral health information and educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health.
Qualifications:

• Must possess CA Dental Hygienist licensure current and unrestricted.
• Associates degree from a Dental Hygienist program and be accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
• Completion of Board Certification preferred.
• Must carry a current CPR certification.
• Commitment to quality patient care, excellent customer service, and to educating patients on dental health.
• Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Prior work in IHS, Tribal/Urban clinics or VA, a plus.
• Experience in Dentrix and EDR a plus.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical and background check investigation.
• Must have proof of completed COVID vaccinations and booster and annual FLU vaccine.

Special Qualifications: Must be sensitive to the needs of the Native American Community, which includes their culture traditions, and background.
