Richmond Family Medicine is looking for a registered nurse and/or a medical assistant to join our small, but busy practice. The RN/MA works with an NP/MD team rooming patients, obtaining brief histories, performing point of care tests, administering immunizations, and supporting the PCP in care coordination for a panel of patients.

The positions are full time, 3.5 clinic days, 32 ~36 hours per week. Flexibility in schedule is highly valued in a candidate to assist in vacation and sick coverage.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:

• First and foremost - a positive, upbeat, can-do attitude. Someone who is compassionate and caring, eager to help patients and teammates alike.
• A strong foundation of knowledge of human growth, development, disease processes and prevention as well as optimizing health and wellness is highly desired.
• Comfort and skill with computers/technology, experience in electronic health record, competent typist
• Skill in communicating with others, time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing, and medical care coordination.
• Skill in patient triage in person and on the phone.
• Knowledge of nursing processes; health care systems, structures, and functions and community resources. Understanding of health care technology, equipment, and supplies.
• Knowledge of wellness, illness, growth and development across the age spectrum
• Knowledge of chart/medical record documentation requirements
• Comfort in performing clerical tasks related to patient care
• Phlebotomy experience is highly desired
