Responsibilities:

• Administers nursing care within the scope of hospital policy and established standards of care and in accordance with the needs and/or wants of each patient.
• Develops and initiates the nursing care plan utilizing the nursing process.
• Collaborates/cooperates with nursing staff and other hospital/health care disciplines for promotion of health to obtain the optimal level of wellness for patients, family, and community.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care in the medical-surgical setting.
• Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Quickly and accurately respond to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
• Telemetry experience a plus
