POSITION SUMMARY:

The RN will assure quality care is provided within policies and parameters as defined by the nursing management. The RN will educate and mentor staff to build effective nursing skills for safety and quality of care. The RN will collaborate with all departments impacting nursing services, and assure compliance with all Hospital policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess the provision of nursing care services on all nursing units.
• Plan for and facilitate the delivery of nursing care services.
• Evaluates the delivery of patient care services.
• Provides incidental and planned teaching for nursing staff.
• Actively collaborates with colleagues in order to improve patient care.
• Utilize effective communication skills in interpersonal interactions with patients, families, nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team.
• Support the departmental and institutional policies and procedures.
• Participate in Nursing and Hospital-wide Performance Improvement activities in order to evaluate patient care and nursing practice.

EDUCATION:

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of Nursing required.
• Must Hold a Current PA nursing license in good standing.
