Job description

The Regulatory Analyst responsibilities are to update and maintain product specifications aimed at standardizing product information to ensure consistency and accuracy, as well as reviewing item labels for compliance with government regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Review, update and maintain product specification sheets (e.g., product information, ingredient statement, nutrition, allergen)
• Maintain and update database of products specifications and supporting documents (claims, 3-rd party certificates and etc.)
• Review product and case labels for compliance with Atalanta Standards and FDA/USDA requirements
• Collaborate with Marketing, Business Development, Sales, FSQA, and other Atalanta personnel to ensure project delivery
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve regulatory issues to ensure consistent product quality and regulatory compliance
• Respond timely and promptly to inquiries regarding ingredients, formulations, regulatory issues and associated requirements from customers and internals teams

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in food science, chemistry, biosciences, or related disciplines
• Well-developed interpersonal/communication skills, including strong verbal and written skills in English.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workload to meet multiple deadlines
• Proficient in the use of computers and possess a working knowledge of associated office software packages (e.g. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Active learner; excellent organizational skills; detail-oriented and accurate
• Knowledge of FDA/USDA labeling regulations
• Experience in Food Industry preferred
