Locations: Rogers Park, South Shore, Englewood
32 hours per week

The Relief House Manager will provide continuous support to Trilogy residential clients to help them achieve their goals of independent living and psychiatric stability. Duties will include providing include basic case management, individual skills training, group therapy, medication monitoring, crisis intervention, and linkage to community resources.

The Relief House Manager is an integral part of the Residential program and will provide support to all Residential locations across Chicago. The Relief House Manager provides support to programs when there is a vacancy or open shift at any site. This position requires very flexible availability with potential overnight and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities:

  • Assess client’s personal, medical, emotional, social, and environmental situation through direct service.
  • Coordinate the implementation of an individual recovery plan with the client, residential staff, and other providers.
  • Provide medication monitoring, crisis de-escalation, and basic case management on a daily basis.
  • Assist clients in identifying signs and symptoms of de-compensation. Work collaboratively with clients to identify coping skills to assist in managing symptoms and stressors experienced.
  • Assist clients in learning and improving independent living skills; i.e. personal hygiene, housekeeping skills, nutrition, and shopping for food and personal items
  • Advocate on client’s behalf and empower clients to advocate on behalf of themselves when appropriate
  • Communicate effectively within the team model for a multi-disciplinary approach to client care.
  • Provide coverage for various sites when regularly scheduled staff have planned PTO or emergencies.
  • Perform other related administrative duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination and booster by the date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
  • Must have one of the following requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, education, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy, or related human service field
  • Bachelor's degree in any other field with two years of supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting
  • Licensed Practical Nurse under the Nurse Practice Act [225 ILCS 65]
  • Certificate of Psychiatric Rehabilitation from a DHS-approved program, a high school diploma/GED, and two years’ experience of experience in a mental health setting
  • CRSS certification through IAODAPCA
  • Family Partnership Professional certificate from and in good standing with IAODAPCA
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed under the Illinois Occupational Therapy Practice Act [225 ILCS 75] with one-year experience in a mental health setting;
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Illinois Driver’s License with daily access to a vehicle. Must have $100,000/$300,000 auto liability insurance.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as directed.
  • Experience working with people with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses preferred
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible with changing work environment
