Piper Companies is seeking a Kubernetes Engineer to join an innovative software company, relied on by more than 19,000 organizations in over 90 countries across the globe, for an employment opportunity. The Senior Kubernetes Engineer will be responsible for company’s Kubernetes platform, which hosts multiple global SaaS applications.
The responsibilities of the Kubernetes Engineer include:
- Reviewing current Kubernetes and container-based products and provide guidance for improvements on monitoring, scalability, and reliability
- Working closely with SRE and Engineering teams to help them better optimize Kubernetes deployments in both Prod and NonProd environments
- Architecting, designing, and implementing methods to optimize company ecosystem
- Providing guidance on orchestration, automated failover and recovery, and capacity planning
- Leading architecting sessions with technology pillar owners
The qualifications of the Kubernetes Engineer include:
- Proven experience with designing, building, securing, and managing Kubernetes at scale
- Extensive experience with Rancher and a broad knowledge of the cloud ecosystems
- Experience with Kubernetes networking and knowledge on how traffic flows within pods, load balancers, and the internet
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with monitoring tools such as SignalFX and ELK stack
The compensation for the Kubernetes Engineer includes:
- Salary Range:
o $150,000 - $165,000
- Full Benefits: PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, etc.
