Job description
Piper Companies is seeking a Remote Site Reliability Engineer to join an industry-leading Internet Security organization. The Site Reliability Engineer will build, manage, maintain and scale the operational infrastructure on which mission-critical services are deployed.
Responsibilities of the Site Reliability Engineer include:
- Help with Patching distributed systems, Writing CI-CD work flows for a variety of tasks, and helping with automation
- Automate key processes/manual tasks for both existing and new features
- Responsible for full documentation (architecture, overviews, troubleshooting steps, etc.)
- Assess, design, test, deploy and support new/existing internet products and applications to support infrastructure
Qualifications for the Site Reliability Engineer include:
- 5+ years of experience with Production Systems and System Operations
- Strong Ansible, Terraform, and Linux Skills
- Automating skills using Shell and/or Python
- Experience using Jenkins, source control (Git, GitHub) and feature branching strategies
- Basic knowledge of Networking and API
Compensation for the Site Reliability Engineer includes:
- Salary Range: $125,000 – $145,000 – Hourly Pay $65 - $70/hr **depending on experience**
