Restaurant Assistant Manager

Primary Objective of Restaurant Assistant Manager

* Minimum of 21 years of age for alcoholic beverages handling
* Ability to take initiative and ownership to resolve problems
* Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail
* Have strong leadership, communication & organizational skills
* Must be willing to work nights, week-ends and holidays
* Must have the ability to work with guests and respond immediately and accurately to their needs

* Must have a valid alcohol awareness certification or be capable of obtaining certification

* Must have a valid San Diego County Food Handlers Card or be capable of obtaining one

* Must be a Registered Beverage Server with the ABC

* Most importantly, be Happy and Love Working with the Public!

Responsibilities include:

* Supervising and directing the prompt, efficient and friendly serving of all food and beverage
* Assisting servers, bussers and bartenders in their job duties as necessary
* Ensuring all opening, closing and running side work is completed on a daily basis
* Assisting in the training of team members
* Working quickly and independently to resolve operational and/or guest issues when necessary, ensuring proper follow through with appropriate manager(s)

Physical Demands & Work Environment

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, as well as lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is sometimes exposed to outside weather conditions and frequently to hot or cold interior conditions as well as moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools and hot external surfaces of kitchen cooking equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
