Restaurant Manager

Position Summary:
The manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the restaurant during assigned and designated periods. Managers are to ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and profitability while strictly adhering to the policies and procedures of The Greene Turtle.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise shift operations and assistant managers
  • Strictly follow company cash handling procedures
  • Complete opening and closing duties
  • Promptly and professionally handle all guest comments
  • Understand and manage all COGS
  • Manage restaurant marketing and promotions
  • Supports sponsorship and fundraising opportunities
  • Manage all R&M
  • Manage sales, labor, and profit of restaurant
  • Manage overall restaurant budget
  • Process payroll bi-weekly
  • Communicate all team member issues and complaints to management team through daily communication
  • Coach and develop managers
  • Coach, train, and develop team members
  • Assign all training materials and trainer to new team member
  • Write schedules based on performance and labor budget
  • Oversee departmental responsibilities
  • Interview and hire new team members
  • Follow and understand company procedures at all times
  • Conduct new team member orientations
  • Adhere to and understand all safety and sanitation procedures set forth by The Greene Turtle
  • Maintain performance standards and motivates team through positive role modeling
  • Create, maintain, and order to pars in all areas of the restaurant
  • Interview, hire, and assign training to all new team members
  • Conduct new team member orientations
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures set forth by The Greene Turtle
  • Complete understanding of all menu items and procedures in all areas at The Greene Turtle
  • Required to make appropriate decisions in fast paced environment
  • All other duties, although not listed, as assigned by the general manager

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year working in restaurant environment
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Spend 100% of the time walking and standing
  • Ability to lift 35-70 pounds
  • Always groomed and presentable in accordance with The Greene Turtle’s uniform policy
