Position Overview

Position Summary

The Revenue Cycle Payment Specialist is responsible for maintaining up-to-date records and inputting data into the appropriate files.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Payment Specialist will perform duties including, but not limited to:

  • Perform all work in a manner consistent with National Youth Advocate Program's mission, values, and philosophies.
  • Collect and organizes data required for maintaining client and payer records.
  • Opens and sorts all department mail.
  • Responsible for processing checks and routing them to their proper folders.
  • Maintains accurate, up-to-date records of all incoming payments.
  • Purges specified data files and logs as required; makes individual and/or mass corrections, modifications, and/or updates to data files, as appropriate.
  • Coordinates transfer of necessary files to appropriate billing specialist.
  • Ensures strict confidentiality of client's records.
  • Participates in Agency training as required.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
  • Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

OTHER SKILLS

  • Must be well organized.
