PURPOSE

Provide emergency roadside assistance to driver team members. This entails assessing and diagnosing vehicle failures through careful inquiry and dispatching appropriate service to drivers based on the nature of each breakdown. The Road Assist Coordinator will answer driver inquiries regarding the maintenance and operations of over 7,500 vehicles.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate road repairs while focusing on five goals:
• Maintain CPM goal
• Driver team member's needs
• Utilization of equipment to reduce down time
• DOT compliance
• Safety
• Provide total support for driver team members, inter company operations, and external customers through effective and timely action.
• Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
• Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results.
• Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• Minimum of one year of experience in maintenance repair
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Flexible scheduling, available to work nights and weekends if needed.
• Must have excellent phone and customer service skills to interact with internal and external customers

Preferred Skills

• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• On the job experience in similar role

SUPERVISES OTHERS

This position does not supervise others.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:

• to sit, stand, stoop, kneel and occasionally move up to 20 pounds,
• manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard on a daily basis,
• stamina to sit for extended periods of time, lift or carry printed materials, and
• possess vision sufficient to read a monitor, printed text and hand written documents,
• be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
