Job Description/Primary Purpose
Primary purpose of the Round Table position within the Planer Department entails overseeing the sorting and arrangement of lumber according to sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pull boards off round table and stack according to size.
- Stamp boards to ensure quality grade
- Strap boards according to grade and size
- Check finished product for quality
- Follows established processes and procedures to maintain a safe workplace and produce lumber to the company’s high-quality standards.
- Performs tasks, such as, cleaning table, helping in other areas, etc.
- Will be cross trained in a variety of positions and must be willing to perform those functions as required.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment around the individual’s station.
- Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
- Adhere to all safety, health, policies, procedures and guidelines. This includes wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).

Requirements/Qualifications
- Willing and able to work any shift, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Willing and able to work in a hot, cold, noisy, industrial environment.
- Willing and able to work perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to 12 hours per day.
- Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Requirement/ Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in working in wood products.
- Experience operating a forklift.
