As a Patient Transporter, you are the ultimate connector. In this essential role, you will assist departments transporting patients and other items from one department to another. Alongside your fellow team members, you'll elevate the patient experience- this is where our #hellohumankindess culture shines!
Position Overview
- Receive and transport patients and visitors in a safe and timely manner to their designated destination
- Document request for services to provide an accurate and timely tracking system
- Maintain wheelchairs, stretchers, and all other used equipment in clean and sanitary condition as well as in proper working order
- Transport equipment or other necessary items from one area of the hospital to another as needed
- May assist with clerical work in the department on occasion

Shifts Available
- Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm
- Monday - Friday 6:30am-2:30pm
- Friday - Sunday 7am-7pm
Position Requirements
- Previous customer service experience is required; previous healthcare industry experience is preferred
- Ability to effectively build relationships with hospital employees and team members
- At least 18 years of age
- Willingness to wear a mask and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while working
- Ability to effectively build relationships with patients, guests, and team members
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for up to 8 hours at a time in an indoor environment
- Ability to assist patients in a wheelchair as needed
- Possess conflict resolution skills and experience when dealing with difficult situations
