A Sales Assistant is a salaried position at Factory Mattress. It is a keyholder position that supports one or two store locations and Store Managers, in assisting customers find solutions to their sleep needs. It is a full-time position that also includes benefits. Total compensation, including overtime calculated using the fluctuating workweek method is expected to be $40,000 per year. Sales Assistant has the ability to move into a commissioned Sales Associate role, as well as Store Manager, based on their performance and growth within the company.
At Factory Mattress we offer a thorough training program to focus on helping our customers, not simply selling them a random product that may do more harm than good. Experience is not as important as a willingness to help the customer. We provide on-going training and stress a knowledge-based method of solving our customer’s problems. Responsibilities
- Use the Factory Mattress Experience to facilitate a unique experience for our guests.
- Ask customers questions about the causes and effects of sleep deprivation.
- Provide guests with a solution based on the concerns uncovered.
- Build benefits using the features of the products.
- Ensure orders are written adequately with the STORIS POS.
- Minimize exchanges and returns.
- Provide customer feedback to the leadership team.
- Stay up to date with new products/services
- Generate new business by establishing promoter customers using Google Reviews
Skills
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in slow-paced environments
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- High school degree or GED
- No previous retail experience necessary
