The Drawing Room Boutique, seeks motivated and experienced sales associates to join our team. We are a unique establishment featuring fine gifts, jewelry, home accessories & furnishings, as well as original artwork. In addition to our Boutique, The Drawing Room boasts a Cafe/European style Tea House, an Art Gallery and a full-service Interior Design Studio. The successful applicant must possess a professional demeanor, have a positive and upbeat attitude, as well as excellent organizational skills. He or she will manage all aspects of sales while generating and building relationships with customers as well as members of the interior design trade. He or she will also be expected to have a general understanding of all facets of our business, and will be expected to be a team player and fluid communicator with staff in other departments.
HOURS OF OPERATION: Tuesday- Saturday 10:30am-5pm.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Above all, an understanding of sales fundamentals.
- Outstanding communications and networking skills.
- Effective collaboration skills.
- Exceptional efficiency & organizational skills as well as an strong attention to detail.
- Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, POS, Quickbooks or equivalent sales program.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- The ability to organize, prioritize and complete varied tasks quickly and accurately.
- Previous experience with office management. A familiarity with art, home goods and social media preferred.
- Possess a strong eye for design.
- Physical Requirements: lift/carry/move 40 lbs minimum including fixtures and products.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Maintaining store standards in presentation, cleanliness and organization.
- Greet patrons, answer phones, operate front desk during operation hours.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication with management and associates.
- Develop a thorough knowledge of all in-store merchandise as well as art gallery and cafe events and products.
- Maintain customer lists & files.
- Oversee customer requests and follow ups.
- Offer additional products that support or relate to customer and designer's needs & inform visitors of sales and promotions.
- Assemble and execute mailings and email correspondence.
- Help train new associates.
- Above all, reach and exceed monthly sales quotas.
