Moran Transportation, a leader in LTL transportation services, is hiring a Sales professional in Minneapolis, MN.
OPPORTUNITY:
As our Business Development Executive, you will develop new business through proactive prospecting and cold calling strategies. Identify, source, and develop strong business relationships with companies that ship LTL in the Midwest. Work with our Operations team to identify open capacity and achieve maximum profitability by filling lanes. Reporting to the Midwest Sales Manager, your aggressive sales efforts will generate unlimited income potential.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and close new accounts through disciplined prospecting and relationship building.
- Present, promote, and sell our unique delivery service offering.
- Maintain excellent communication with potential and existing customers.
- Create, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships.
- Connect with customer leads through cold calling.
- Prioritize and provide solutions to customer issues or concerns.
- Achieve freight sales targets within the territory.
- Analyze the market potential through sales and status reports.
SUCCESS FACTORS:
- 5+ years of sales experience in the transportation industry, preferably in LTL.
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Knowledge of the Midwest regional LTL industry.
- Proven success at building rapport and productive customer relationships through effective communication at all levels
- Disciplined to execute a sales activity plan effectively.
- Dynamic, results-minded individuals who will aggressively drive new business efforts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Available to travel to meet customers.
- Energetic and driven to succeed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Moran Transportation will reward your sales talents with a compensation plan targeted at $130-140K+ OTE. Comp plan includes a $75K-$90K base salary plus unlimited commission plan. You will enjoy a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K with 4% match, FSA, HSA, and paid vacation/holidays. We will reimburse you for mileage and other travel expenses.
