As a Sales Representative with Liberty Packaging Quad Cities, you will contribute to the growth of our business by focusing on both winning new business as well as growing existing customer relationships.

This full-time position reports directly to the Sales Manager and is located remotely within a couple of hours of Rock Island, Illinois.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build a sales and marketing strategy to identify new customers (industries such as health & beauty, agriculture, food & beverage, pharmaceutical)
• Drive new sales opportunities by identifying key decision-makers and creating the right approach to reach them
• Initiate customer relationships and close business utilizing a proven sales process
• Leverage our packaging capabilities as you work closely with our talented internal teams – design, customer service, estimating, procurement, logistics – to design custom packaging solutions that meet their needs
• Manage customer expectations and provide an excellent customer service experience
• Continue to cultivate long-term customer relationships as you strive to meet their ongoing packaging needs
• Keep a watchful eye on and be willing to share trends and activities important to our business
• Other duties, as assigned

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or a related field
• 2+ years of sales experience (preferred) with a demonstrable track record of growing and closing sales
• Experience planning, implementing, and analyzing new sales strategies
• Experience in a manufacturing organization is a plus
• Strong prospecting and business development skills
• Excellent communication skills and superior resolution and decision-making skills

• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time outside of the home office

• Demonstrated presentation skills to decision-makers of all levels in an organization.
• Strong ability to understand our technical production capabilities and where the company has added or built capacity, and to translate that to targeting specific customers and market segments.

• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
• Proficient in all standard desktop software tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
