EEW American Offshore Structures Inc. (EEW AOS) is currently establishing its US operations in Paulsboro, NJ and is looking for a full-time position of Level II Semi-automatic Arc Welder to join our growing team.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completed vocational training (skilled worker) in a metal trade and/or at least 3 years of professional experience as a Manual arc weld or automatic arc welder in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated skills with fit up of large assemblies.
- Experience setting and running Manual or Semi-automatic Welding equipment.
- Demonstrated math competency, blueprint reading, and understand assigned weld procedures.
RESONSIBILITES & DUTIES
- Operation of semi-automatic welding systems in series production and execution of semi-automatic welds (FCAW, GMAW, MCAW).
- Oxy-Fuel cutting and heating operations.
- Setting up the machines and fitting them with the correct filler metal, gas, and consumables.
- Implement welding sequences and techniques as well as number of weld layers and thicknesses in accordance with W*eld Procedure S*pecification.
- Visual inspection of welds, interpret findings, and address deficiencies.
- Welding of materials in accordance with production using one or more of these welding methods: FCAW, MCAW, GMAW, SAW.
- Perform repair and cleaning work on the machinery and equipment as required.
- Successfully perform testing in accordance with EEW-Welder Qualification Matrix.
- Control of storage and certification of consumables.
- Proficient with measurement tools (micrometers, weld gages, etc.)
- Following detailed router instructions.
- Good communication skills
- Must be able to communicate (Read, Write and Speak) English fluently
- Position requires standing, walking, bending. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25/50 pounds
- Perform routine daily and weekly maintenance tasks on equipment.
- Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends as necessary to meet customer demands
- Required to follow all quality and safety procedures.
- Working at heights and confined spaces.
- Computer user knowledge.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
