Job description

We are looking for experienced Wind Tower SAW Welders for several functions in the production process of Wind Towers for our client in Amarillo Texas. They have automized, semi-automized as well as hand welding requirements.

SAW Duties will include

• Perform welding type SAW per AWS, WPS, and/or work instructions, using specific equipment to join the cans.
• To join the pieces of metal leagues, performing the proper finishes by submerged welding machine, or others.
• Use crane.
• Perform the check-list of the machine, making the exchange of the submerged arc wire whenever necessary.
• Ensure the quality of processed products according to the standards of control.
• Optimize the means and tools placed at their disposal.
• Avoid unnecessary downtime in the process; ensuring productivity and daily targets are achieved.
• Filling in all inspection and production forms associated with operations as required.
• Attend training program when called.
• Perform other tasks related with the requirements for the exercise of the function.
• Perform other tasks per supervisor's instructions.
• Respect Safety Standards and use of PPE.
• Clock-in and clock-out (mark attendance with the punch card) at the beginning and at the end of the shift.
• Execute clock-in and barcode reading in the SAP stations at the beginning and at the end of each task in production.
• Carry out activities related to 5S in the area.

Preferable Requirements

• SAP
• Bilingual (English-Spanish)
• Operations of MIG weld and weld in submerged-arc.
• Interpersonal Relationships, focused attention, flexibility, initiative, organization and commitment.
