The SCADA administrator will provide technical support for Maverick Natural Resources’ (MNR) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. This position will also contribute to the purchase, planning, installation, maintenance, updating, and support of the SCADA system.
Responsibilities:
- Support system administrator/Supervisory Control Data Acquisition
- Manage and configure Windows domain Controllers, Active directory and Group Policies on windows computer platforms
- Oversee system backups, Hardware/software installation and upgrades
- Under general supervision, responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining operating system
- Responsible for the administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of divisional Level servers.
- Work directly with IT and production accounting to insure seamless data transfer to accounting software
- Conceptualizes, details and implements all phases of SCADA system upgrades.
- Develops and implements standard procedures and naming conventions
- Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with Maverick Natural resources Core Values
- Provide SCADA training for local automation support.
- Provide support for more advanced solutions (for example, scripted solutions).
Qualifications:
- Cygnet and Ignition experience preferred.
- SCADA programming and HMI design
- Firm working knowledge of edge devices.
- prior field experiences (Oil/gas industry preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience may substitute education, but 4 years preferred.
- At least 2-4 years of practical experience working with Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Understanding of basic security principles and their application to an Active Directory Environment
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Remote Terminal Units (RTU), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) applications for process control systems.
- Windows operating system, SQL server databases, and Ethernet based PLC's
- Working knowledge of scripting languages such as VBScript, Python and Java
- Efficient project management skills
