The Mary T Family of Companies is seeking a full-time Scheduler!
The Scheduler supports service delivery to the people we serve by scheduling staff, managing time off requests and attendance, and approving time records for their team. The Scheduler provides leadership, positive role modeling and critical thinking skills to facilitate staff development.
The Scheduler will work as part of a two-person scheduling team, who together will oversee the scheduling for all of our Minnesota group home locations within the Twin Cities area. This position will require in-person work on our campus in Coon Rapids, MN. The work schedule will be Monday - Friday daytime hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC JOB DUTIES
- Create bi-weekly schedule to support needs of assigned programs
- Review and approve time records for employees; submit to payroll
- Communicate with employees regarding any time off requests
- Communicate with Program Managers to ensure training requirements for staff to complete assigned duties for scheduled shifts.
- Maintain frequent communication with management teams of assigned programs regarding shift coverage.
- Supervision of float pool employees.
- Work with the Human Resources team with scenarios relating to worker’s comp, medical leave or concerns related to employee performance
- Inform Director of HR of open positions, participate in interview process & on-boarding/training new employees
- Monitor and reduce overtime and complete related reports
- Actively participate in the recruitment process as needed
- Ensure schedules have qualified staff members on the shifts to support the program needs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma/GED
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous scheduling experience required
- Experience scheduling experience with home and community based residential programs is preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Proficient computer skills and the ability to become proficient in company software and data systems
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Possess a background or experience in understanding disciplines of Human Resources/Management, Finance, Home Health/Home Care, Disability Services, Marketing/Communications
- Ability to navigate county and state government bodies as necessary in billing and rate management
- Ability to demonstrate and practice the principles of proper body mechanics for all physical activities
- Ability to practice universal precautions, standards and facility infection control procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to use position related equipment properly and safely
- Ability to add and subtract without a calculator
