About This Role
Biogen seeks a highly motivated individual to join the Multiple Sclerosis and Specialized Immunology Research Unit. We are seeking an individual with experience using in vitro and ex vivo experimental approaches, whose goal would be to advance drug discovery programs by conducting bench research. The individual will design and execute experiments aimed at target discovery and understanding the mechanism of action of drug candidates being developed to treat autoimmune diseases. The individual is expected to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, build strong interactions with team members and be an active participant on multidisciplinary project teams.
What You’ll Do
- Join a team of world-class scientists, focused on novel aspects of immunology
- Drive drug discovery efforts for Immunology
- Use a wide array of techniques relevant to neuroimmunology and immunology
- Design and execute experimental plans, perform rigorous analysis and interpretation of experiments
- Collaborate with relevant individuals and groups to advance projects
- Communicate within cross-functional teams

Required Skills
- Flow cytometry
- RNA isolation and qPCR
- Western blot, ELISA/MSD
- Primary cell isolation, culturing, and in vitro cell-based assays
- Expertise in single cell, spatial tissue-based transcriptomic / proteomic techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, Flowjo, and Prism
Education
- Ph.D. in a life-science field: immunology, cell biology, pharmacology
- Or M.S. with relevant drug discovery expertise and track record of accomplishment
