This role is responsible for the progress of the Digital Factory across the organization and will have exposure to multiple agile teams, topics, and business units. The Scrum Master, which is a part of the Project Management Office agile team, facilitates the scrum process, protects the team from interference, and removes obstacles so that the team can deliver the sprint goal. They remove impediments and act as a shield from external distractions. They create a safe working environment for the team and are an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement and builds higher performing teams. The Scrum Master has a primary responsibility to help the self-organizing, self-managing team achieve its goals.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBITIES:

  • Facilitates the Digital Factory daily scrum, spring review, retrospectives and sprint planning meetings that ensure full sponsor engagement
  • Coaches and coordinates the scrum process for high-performing agile teams
  • Identifies and implements ways to strengthen agile teams and the organization through Agile / Scrum concepts and principles
  • Ensures agile team’s actions are aligned with the project goals and vision and that the agile team’s progress and successes are highly visible to all stakeholders
  • Facilitates daily scrum, sprint review, retrospectives, and sprint planning meetings that ensure full team engagement
  • Assists the product owner and the agile team in identifying trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision
  • Fosters communication and close cooperation across all team members, encourages cross-training and supporting each other
  • Works with other Scrum Masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of scrum in the organization
  • Shields the team from external interferences and removes all impediments to the team’s success, such as logistics challenges.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Confident and skilled at navigating the team through roadblock impeding delivery progress
  • Able to resolve conflicts within the team before they become an issue i.e. strong mediator
  • Experience in facilitating meetings, identifying risks/dependencies/impediments, and handling multiple priorities
  • Brings a high-energy and passionate outlook and can influence those around them
  • Able to build a sense of trust and rapport that create a comfortable and effective workplace
  • Knowledgeable about various Agile methodologies and skilled in coaching Scrum and Kanban teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to coach and mentor team all roles on a Scrum team
  • Skilled technical ability, working with various technology stacks
  • Assertive, with the confidence to be voice of authority
  • Good understanding of technology enabled business transformation, Digital transformation, Organizational transformation, delivering enterprise-level IT and Digital projects
  • Skilled at navigating complex organizational structures and dynamics


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience with Agile and Scrum
  • Agile Certifications, preferably Scrum.org (PSM I, PSM II) or Scrum Alliance (Certified Scrum Master)
  • 3 years of experience in leadership or project team role preferred
  • Experience as a scrum master in a PMO team or similar leadership-based agile team
  • Delivery or software development background
  • Extensive experience with JIRA/Confluence or other software to manage agile programs
