Scrum Master II - Global Risk Solutions - Distribution and Marketing
Job description
- Facilitates process and program execution, escalates impediments, manages risk and helps drive team and program-level continuous improvement.
- Assist in the coordination of ceremonies and discovery sessions both internal and external to products technology team.
- Facilitate difficult conversations with groups/teams and act as a go-to person for groups outside of their team to facilitate events.
- Form strong partnerships with other Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Leaders to ensure alignment with established methodologies and transformation goals. Teach, coach, mentor members of Agile -Lean mythologies.
- Demonstrates situational and self-awareness to know whether/when/how to respond to various environmental issues that will affect a team/program/portfolio/organization's ability to operate in a Lean-Agile manner.
- Works together with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches across the enterprise to help the business unit mature on the path towards business agility.
- Draw from vast experience in a variety of different contexts and leverage ideas from several disciplines, patterns and techniques to address gaps, solve problems, innovate and improve the environment their program/portfolio operates in.
- Comfortable experimenting with a variety of approaches based on need & fit.
- Promotes the use of experimentation with quality/engineering practices (BDD, TDD, Pairing, CI/CD, etc.).
- Effective facilitation skills at the team level; Remains neutral, applies conflict management & establishes trust. Is comfortable having difficult conversations and actively coaches others on improving facilitation skills.
- Acts as a catalyst to the SM community & in the organization by sharing ideas.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, Computer Science or a related discipline and at least 5 years of IT and project/program management, including at least 3 years as a Scrum Master.
- Ability to foster continuous delivery of products to users.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and proven expertise in directing the efforts of a technical staff.
- In-depth knowledge of business functions and extensive understanding of business operations, strategies, and objectives.
- Strong coaching skills.
- The ability to convert strategy, planned work and completed work into a compelling and engaging story.
- Track record of continued and recent education in Lean-Agile including training, conferences, user groups, cohorts, self-study, etc
- Experience being on multiple Agile teams in a variety of different contexts.
- Scrum certification strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a scaled agile framework preferred.
