Job Overview
Bloomingdale's is seeking a highly energetic, Seasonal Support Colleague to join our Operations Team over the holiday season. As a Bloomingdale's Seasonal Support Colleague, you will play a key role in enhancing the customer experience through the appearance of our store; creating a neat, clean and organized shopping environment and ensuring merchandise is easily accessible to customers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
- Deliver a high level of customer service and greet all customers
- Organize merchandise by style, size and color on the selling floor and stockroom, upholding Bloomingdale’s high presentation standards
- Replenish merchandise on the selling floor, creating an easy shopping experience
- Proficient with technology to locate merchandise and fulfill online orders
- Execute markdowns, RTV’s, re-ticketing merchandise and processing damages
- Locate “pre-sold” merchandise for customers as needed
Qualifications and Competencies:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourceful and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Resourceful self-starter, works well independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires prolonged periods of standing/walking around store or department
- May involve reaching, crouching, kneeling, stooping, color vision and climbing ladders
- Frequent use of computers and other technology necessary to perform job duties, including handheld electronic equipment.
- Frequently lift/move up to 50lbs
