The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Department of Neurology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking for a full-time Secretary B that will be responsible for scanning, database entry and preparing paper files of research data for offsite storage. The Columbia Neurology practice is growing and this position is integral to the overall success of this growth.

Responsibilities

The Secretary B will be responsible for performing administrative duties including but not limited to scanning, database entry, and preparing paper files for offsite storage.

Using a designated scanner, the Secretary B will digitize various research studies, create an inventory sheet in Excel and send hard copies to be stored in offsite storage at GRM.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires two years of college or completion of secretarial school or equivalent business experience, plus a minimum of one or two years of related experience.

Must successfully complete multiple compliance training requirements.

Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat

Preferred Qualifications

Possess excellent customer satisfaction skills.

Other Requirements

Organization skills are imperative.

Confidentiality is a must.

Keep track of several different tasks and sometimes work under limited supervision.
